I’m a composer, music educator and technologist currently living in the GTA. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition and Master of Music from The University of Western Ontario, along with a Doctor of Musical Arts from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati. I have 4 years of experience teaching at the university level, and have taught many kids/teens across the GTA.
As a composer my music has been featured at major international conferences and festivals such as the International Computer Music Festival (Utrecht, Netherlands) and the Toronto International Electroacoustic Symposium, and in concerts across Canada, the United States and Europe.
For those interested in electronic music/music technology, I work with a variety of DAWs (although not very often in Ableton), and am also well versed in using audio programming environments like Max/MSP and coding languages for sound design.
For those interested in music theory, I am familiar with the RCM exam system and have helped numerous students prepare for rudiments and higher level exams.
I’m happy to work with absolute beginners and comfortable teaching those who want to work towards a professional level. Online lessons work well but meeting in person is an option depending on location.
